Philippines as an archipelago consisting of 7,107 islands with exception to those islets which disappears during tides have so much to offer from air, sea, land, and beyond! And on the list of the must place to visit in the Philippines is the Heart of the Philippine Islands, Bohol.
Bohol is a first income class island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region, consisting of the island itself and 75 minor surrounding islands. Its capital is Tagbilaran. With a land area of 4,821 km2 (1,861 sq mi) and a coastline 261 km (162 mi) long, Bohol is the tenth largest island of the Philippines. It is the home province of Carlos P. Garcia, the eighth president of the Republic of the Philippines (1957–1961) who was born in Talibon, Bohol.
On 15 October 2013, Bohol was devastated by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake whose epicenter was 6 km (3.7 mi) south of Sagbayan town. The earthquake, which also hit southern Cebu, claimed 156 lives altogether and injured 374 people. It also destroyed or damaged a number of Bohol's heritage churches.

COMBENTO CAVE in Anda

I just recently visited some of the caves in Anda because of our Performance Task in one of my majors which is to assess some tourism destination in Bohol. It takes 2 hours to reach the Municipality of Anda from Tagbilaran City via land transportation. There are 30 major and minor caves in Anda but only some of it are accessible. One of which is Combento Cave which is my favorite among the 2 other caves I visited. The entrance fee is only 10 pesos. The cave pool in this cave is just at the right water level. It is neither shallow nor deep. The water level depends on the tides. The water is really fresh and cool. You’ll just love dipping and swimming around here.
Another thing that’s gonna make your curiosity level arise to the nth level is a big hole in the water which they say will lead you to another pristine chamber where the stalactites and stalagmites are. Well, I didn’t bother to go there because my fear is greater than my curiosity. But, you might as well figure it out. They say its worth the try!
And, yeah, its me in Combento Cave! ^_^
KALIGOON CAVE in Anda

Just a few footsteps close to Combento Cave lies its little brother cave, Kaligoon Cave which also have a cave pool filled with the same fresh and cool water from its big brother cave. This cave is perfect for dipping and swimming specially for kids because the water is just shallow. Its not that spacious. I think it can only accommodate 5 persons. This is already included in your 10 pesos entrance fee for Combento Cave. This cave is my next favorite cave after Combento Cave.
CABAGNOW CAVE in Anda
This is probably the creepiest and deepest cave compared to the two caves and definitely not my favorite because I am not that adventurous and not brave enough to give it a try. Cabagnow Cave is more like a hole in the ground. It also have fresh and cool water but very deep. This cave have portions said to be 25 feet deep. To go down, you need to jump or you can also use a steel ladder provided by the local residents. This cave doesn’t have any fee and actually its for free! For very adventurous and enthusiastic persons out there who likes to rush their adrenaline's, Go give it a try!
ANDA WHITE BEACH
For those sun-worshipers all around the globe, Anda White Beach might satisfy your need. Located in the center of the Municipality and at the back of the Church lies the long and wide shoreline of Anda White Beach. This is a government owned property. Little facilities and amenities can be seen within the vicinity of the area. I can say that it is not yet developed. The place is not yet crowded for those who seek for peace. They collect fees for parking and the use of tables and chairs. And if you want to swim in the beach, you might as well sacrifice a little because the first few meters of the beach has shallow water. You need to go a little farther to reach the suitable and desirable water level.
CIELO AZUL in Calape
Cielo Azul is a privately owned beach resort located in Pangangan Island, Calape, Bohol where the longest man-made causeway in the Philippines can be found. It takes an hour to reach the Municipality of Calape from Tagbilaran City. This beach offers white sand, peace and soothing relaxation. They collect entrance fee and cottage fee. Although, the water is not that clean because it is near local houses but still the view and experience is good.
